Martha Edwards

Martha McLain Edwards, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 10, 2017. Martha was born on June 12, 1938 in Edcouch, Texas to Thomas Roy McLain and Edna Mae Solomon of Corpus Christi, Texas. Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Orville Wayne Edwards; brothers, Wayne McLain, David McLain and Jack McLain; sister, Vera Mae McLain. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Donnie Miller; grandchildren, Chelsea and Cameron Miller; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George (Susan) Edwards, sister-in-law, Bonnie McLain; her loving dog, Laci Loo; beloved family, Patricia Bowen, James (Denise) Bowen and Kourtney Bowen; many more close family and friends. Mother was affectionately known by her grandchildren and many more as “Meme”. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Fry officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
