Marie Terrell

Our precious mother Marie Romano Terrell, 93, of Corpus Christi, Texas began her new life in Heaven on December 29, 2013. She was surrounded by her family. Marie was born in New York City on May 5, 1920 and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl Terrell, her Parents Charles and Mamie Romano, Brothers James and Ralph Romano, Sister Frances Urso, Daughter in-law Becky Terrell, and Great Grandson Sethen Waid. She is survived by her seven children, Charles Terrell of Corpus Christi, Mary Ann (Lee) Taylor of North Richland Hills, Linda (Harry) Goodridge of Robstown, Kathy (Albert) Waid of Robstown, Mamie (John) Nicely of Corpus Christi, Frances Smith of Corpus Christi, Ramona Howard of San Antonio, fifteen Grandchildren, twenty-three Great Grandchildren, and one Great, Great Grandchild. Marie was known by many as the little Italian lady with the high heels. She was a devoted Mother that had a deep faith in God and shared that faith and love with everyone whom she met. Though there are no words to describe how much she will be missed, there is comfort in knowing that we will be together again one day. Visitation will be at Sawyer-George Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, January 3, 2014 with the Rosary beginning recited at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church at 1302 Lantana Street, Corpus Christi, TX. Burial immediately following at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
