Maricella Garcia

Maricella Renee “Mari” Garcia age 43 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away April 16, 2016. She was born November 2, 1972 in Alice Texas to Gracie Garcia and Carlos C. Garcia. She was a graduate Flour Bluff High School in 1991 and graduated Texas A&I Kingsville in 1998. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents , Mac and Eustolia Ramirez; her paternal grandparents, Benito and Emma Garcia; aunt and uncles, Aaron Ramirez, Armando C. Garcia, Madeline R. Startz and a cousin Amanda Rodriguez. She is survived by her mother, Gracie Garcia of Calallen, Texas; father, Carlos C. Garcia of Alice, Texas; brothers, Armando (Donna) Garcia of Centerville, Virginia; Carlos (Laurie) Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas and Gabriel (Jennifer) Garcia of Charlottesville, Virginia; nephews, Benjamin, Jacob, Ethan, Evan and Dimitri; Niece, Harlee Shayne; aunt, uncles and cousins . A special thank you to Monica Hoefl her “Sister”/Best Friend and Paul Hickey (Pablito) who journeyed with Mari through the years of her illness. Their love and support carried her through good times and bad times especially during her illness. Thank you to her Medical Team, Dr. Zakaria Saleem, Dr. Michael Lovoi, Angel Bright Hospice, Fresenius Medical Care-Calallen and Darryl Howerton, R.N. for the care and compassion given to Mari. Memorials can be made in the name of Maricella R. Garcia to St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the church.
