Maria Gonzalez

Maria Flores Gonzalez, 92, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018. She was born March 22, 1926 in Millet, Texas to Raymond and Lucia Renteria Flores. During WWII she contributed to the war effort working as sheet metalist. For 17 years she owned and operated Mary Gonzalez’s Nursing Home giving love and care to the elderly. She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Pedro Gonzalez; her sons, Domingo, Jr. and Mario Ochoa. She is survived by her brother, Raymond Flores; her sisters, Elsa Flores, Elida Flores Rosa and Ofelia Kushmer; her sons, Delphino Ochoa (Silvia) and Hector F. Gonzalez (Carmen) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters, Mary Aguirre of Robstown, Texas, Estella Barrientos of Chicago, Illinois, Aurelia Rodriguez (Rod) of Indiana and Blanca Salinas of Corpus Christi, Texas; 17 grandchildren including Sebastian D. Gonzalez; and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, June 11, 2018 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Flores officiating.
