Margie Long

Née Fisk, AKA Marne, (b. May 9th, 1944) passed away this past Monday, December 14th at the age of 76. (At home, peacefully.)  She loved soap operas, antique shopping, costume jewelry, collecting just about everything, and she sure could make a mean red beans and rice.

She is survived by the love of her life, Tom Long of Corpus Christi; her five children:  Lois (Long) Scott and husband Dennis, of Keller; Kyle Long and wife Molly, of Corpus Christi; Lori (Long) Plowman and husband Chad, of Weatherford; Cami (Long) Basse and husband Chris, of San Antonio; Amber Long of Nashville, TN; her seven Grandchildren: Travis, Caitlyn, Sloane, Avery, Collin, Kennedy, and Hayden; Nephew Craig Haston and Niece Christy (Haston) Stratton, both of Houston; caretakers, Cindy Garcia and Delia Garcia; and one beloved grand dog, Hamlet.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Fannie Fisk of Austin; Sister Frances Haston and Brother-in-law Jerry, of Katy; Brother Jim Fisk of Austin.

She always knew how to make you feel better if you were having a bad day.  She was generous with all she had.  She never met a stranger. She was beautiful inside and out. She loved deeply and was deeply loved.  And she will be missed, always.
