Margaret Kemp

Margaret E. "Mug" Kemp, 99, of Lake Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away July 10, 2012. She was born July 9, 1913 in Gatesville, Texas to John Isaac Drew McMinn and Lillian Amanda Morgan McMinn. Mrs. Kemp was a homemaker, a former member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and a present member of Arlington Heights Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Kemp and a son, Bill Kemp. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Margie) Kemp of Portland, Texas, Dwayne (Patsy) Kemp of Robstown, Texas and William (Tamra) Kemp of Lake Corpus Christi, Texas; her daughter, Amanda (Billy Ray) Johnston of Uvalde, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Kemp of Portland, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 6 P.M. with the family present from 4 P.M until 6 P.M. Friday, July 13, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Srygley officiating. Burial will follow at Robstown Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
