Lynn Nelson

Lynn Dee Ligon Nelson, 60, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012. She was born November 7, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Lynn was a former member of Ayers Street Church of Christ, Church of Christ South where she served as the church secretary, and was attending Kings Crossing Church of Christ. She was the manager of Alameda Medical Supply and was a member of the Harley Owners Group. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Norton Ligon; her grandfathers and grandmothers, William Avery and Cassie Maxwell Ligon and Welcome O. and Lois Stevens Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Lemuel Rodney Nelson of Corpus Christi, Texas; her sons, Gregory Allen (Misty) Nelson of Dallas, Texas and Kenton Lamar Nelson of Corpus Christi, Texas; her daughter, Amanda Beth (David) Fuentes of Corpus Christi, Texas; her granddaughter, Abigail Lynn Sanchez of Corpus Christi, Texas; her mother, Lois Wanelle Ligon of Corpus Christi, Texas; her brother, Michael Norton (Alice) Ligon of Robstown, Texas; her sister, Lee Ann (Ronald) Booker of Sugar Land, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and her special dog, Oreo. Memorial services will be conducted at 7 P.M Friday, July 13, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Carrizal officiating. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice, M.D. Anderson Hospital and Dr. Emile Salloum for their special care of Lynn.
