Lucille Just Esparza, 85, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. She was born July 17, 1929 at Clarkwood, Texas to Herman and Annie Meuth Just. Lucille was a greeter and active member of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church and participated in many Bible study groups, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Formerly she was a substitute teacher at St. John Catholic School in Robstown, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Esparza; brothers, David and Emmanuel Just; and sisters, Ravena Just and Patricia Dagerath. She is survived by her daughter, Janette (Ken) Garner of Bryan, Texas; her sons, Allen Esparza and Mark (Cheryl) Esparza all of Calallen, Texas; her sisters, Marie Banta of San Antonio, Texas and Mathilda (Vernon) Simnacher of Robstown, Texas; her sisters-in-law, Lucy Minshew of St. Mary’s, Georgia, Gloria Just of Live Oak, Texas and Margaret Esparza of Runge, Texas; six grandchildren, Kendra (Joe) Hannon, Justin Garner, Jordan Garner, Michael Esparza, Andrew (Michelle) Jones and Joetta (Chris) Eberly; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. until Rosary time Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Friday, October 31, 2014 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Robstown Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Justin Garner, Jordan Garner, Michael Esparza, Andrew Jones, Chris Eberly and Joe Hannon. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church.
