Louise Walker

Louise Walker, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family early Sunday morning September 17, 2017 at home in Bulverde, Texas. Louise was born on June 25, 1928 in Ginger, Texas to John and Irlou Doyal. Louise grew up in Emory, Texas. She graduated at the top of her class from Emory High School in 1945. After high school she went out on her own to work as a bookkeeper for National Screen in Dallas, Texas. Louise married the love of her life, Milburn Walker on April 10, 1954 in Dallas, Texas. They have been happily married for over 63 years. Louise had many hobbies over the years, but mostly just enjoyed being around family and friends, and participating in their interests. Milburn and Louise recently moved to Bulverde, Texas after living in Corpus Christi for 53 years. Louise is survived by her husband, Milburn currently of Bulverde, Texas; her son, Michael of Robstown, Texas & his love, Nichol Edlin of Taft, Texas; her son, Garry Walker of Bulverde, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and self-adopted children. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, John & Irlou Doyal and her brother, Johnny Doyal. A funeral service will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, Texas at 2pm on Friday, September 22, 2017. A visitation will be held at the same location from 5-7pm Thursday, September 21, 2017. Mausoleum services will follow the funeral at Memorial Park on FM 1889 in Robstown, Texas. The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff from Bulverde Assisted Living and Harbor Hospice. Their professional, yet personal attention to all of us during this trying time will never be forgotten.
