Louise Tajchman Iwanski, 92, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 after a short illness. She was born on January 8, 1921 in Shiner, Texas to John and Lena Riess. Louise’s love of baking (and eating) Kolaches inspired her and her first husband, Joe Tajchman, to open Joe’s Country Bakery in Robstown, Texas. They operated this business for ten years. She was an active member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and St. Ann Altar Society for more than 59 years. She was also a member of KJZT and the Czech Heritage Society. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Tajchman, her second husband, Raymond Iwanski and her daughter, Pauline Tajchman Mueck. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Arlon) Zamzow, Janet (James) Heine, Jerry (Mary Helen) Tajchman, Georgia Foster, Mary Louise (Jimmie) Wilson and Fred Tajchman; 21 grandchldren; 30 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren: one sister, Lilly Adams; numerous nieces and nephews; and three wonderful step-children, Frank Iwanski, Andy Iwanski and Margie Iwanski. Visitation will be from 3 P.M. until 7 P.M. with the Rosary to be recited at 7 P.M. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A..M. Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown with Rev. Gerard Sheehan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Seaside Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Robert Heine, Casey Zamzow, Brian Tajchman, Joseph Foster, Trevor Groom and Clint Mueck. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Byerley, Chris Zamzow, Michael Tajchman, Craig Tajchman and Jeffrey Foster.
