Lorene Mcbroom

Lorene McBroom, 92, passed away August 21, 2016 at home surrounded by her three children. She was born on April 9, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas to Ray and Josephine Usry and was raised in Corpus Christi. Lorene was retired from the Calallen School District where she worked as the food service manager for 22 years. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley McBroom; son, Johnny McBroom; sisters, Marie Herrington and Dorothy Oliver; and brother, Ray Usry. She is survived by her children, Tommy (Susan) McBroom; Mike McBroom, Jeannie (Charles) Bobbitt; eleven grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; her cat, Gypsy, and dogs, Max and Sammy. Mom, Mother, Grandma will be greatly missed for her lively spirit and outspoken personality, always going above and beyond in everything she did for others. We take solace in knowing that you are rejoicing in God’s glory. You will be forever in our Hearts. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
