Lois Mcgee

Lois L. McGee, 77, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend slipped away on May 5, 2011. She was born August 14, 1933 in Elkhart, Kansas to Lawrence and Opal Armelia Green. She was retired from Padre Staples Mall. Mother loved to travel and visited most of the fifty states and Canada. She and Pat RV'd for several years and enjoyed every mile. She will be greatly missed. We were well and truly blessed to have her in our lives. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles L. McGee. She is survived by her children, Charles (Sharon) McGee of La Vernia, Texas, Kay (Jim) Menke of Mathis, Texas, Dan L. (Luz) McGee of Mission, Texas; brother, Larry (Velva) Green and children of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Jack Maupin, Shannon McGee, Christie Cochran, Susan Rediker, Amanda Schlotter, April McGee and Dana McGee, II; great grandchildren, Samantha Maupin, Chance, Tracy and Cody Cochran, and Edward Sanchez, Jr.; special friend, Patricia Madden. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Herren officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Falfurrias Burial Park in Falfurrias, Texas.
