Lois Jostes

Lois Marie Smith Rach Jostes, age 95, passed away April 27, 2011 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Lois was born September 7, 1915 in Orange, Texas to Clarence and Mae Smith and was an only child. She grew up in Orange and graduated from High School there. In 1936 she married Gilbert Rach also from Orange. They immediately moved to Freer, Texas where Gilbert was working in the oil fields and they lived there for the next forty years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gilbert Rach, her second husband Herman Jostes, daughter, Martha Fleming and one great-grandson. Lois was a good and loving mother who is survived by her son, Wayne Rach; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one great great grand child. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 12 noon to 2:00 P.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Cenizo Hill Cemetery.
