Lester Maywald

Lester Cleveland Maywald. age 87, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away December 11, 2010. He was born October 12, 1923 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Grover and Beulah Maywald. Mr. Maywald was a member of Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church, worked for American Smelting and retired from ASARCO at an early age of 62. Later in life he transported cars for Wilke Tire Service, Inc. until he was in his early eighties. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Aldeen Lee, Edith Brett and Herschel Maywald; sons-in-law, Leonard Wilson and Tim Little. He is survived by his wife, Alma Maywald of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters, Kay Wilson and Debbie Little both of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Kendra Williams and Bobby Pullin of Corpus Christi, Texas, Chase Heinrich of Los Angeles, CA, Vance Heinrich of Corpus Christi, Texas, Corey (Jessica) Wilson, Scott (Melanie) Wilson, Robin (Rodney) Wilson all of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church, 10500 Stonewall Blvd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78410, with Rev. Michael Brundeen officiating. Interment will follow in the Seaside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church.
