Lena Mcelroy

Lena Mae McElroy, age 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away April 11, 2015. She was born July 7, 1936 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Tommy Lee and Annie Brown. Lena attended Tuloso-Midway High School and was a longtime resident of the Calallen area. She drove a school bus for Calallen I.S.D. for forty years and was a member of Annaville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett Ray McElroy in 1986 and is survived by her daughter, Linda (Kurt) Ursrey; sons, Darryl (Carol) McElroy, Kenneth (Vicki) McElroy, Allen (Audrey) McElroy, Bennett Ray (Betty) McElroy, Jr.; sister, Dorothy Foster; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Justin Moss officiating. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
