Lee Matthew Postel

Lee Matthew Postel, age 67, passed away Wednesday, February 09, 2022. Lee was born November 20, 1954 in Long Beach, California. He spent his childhood in several countries due to his fathers military career, the most memorable being Cartagena, Columbia and Scotland, then finally settling in Corpus Christi, TX.

He graduated in the class of 1972 from Richard King High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. Lee joined the United States Navy at the age of 17, in 1972. After a short stint in the Navy he was honorably discharged and moved back to Corpus Christi. Lee quickly found his calling in the oil and gas industry, that passion turned into a lifelong career. He was married for 38 years to Becky, the love of his life.
Lee was well known for his love of family, fishing, history and aviation.

Lee is preceded in death by his father Charles Wesley Postel and father-in-law Robert Sherrell Young Jr.

Left behind to cherish Lee's memory are his wife Becky Postel, sons, Matthew Postel, Nicholas Postel and Lauren, Jeffery Postel and Shelbeigh, mother, Mary Ann Postel, sister, Leslie Bernson and husband Robert, step-sister, Charlene Markey, grandchildren Tallen Moulder, Wyatt Postel and Maverick Moulder-Postel. He will be greatly missed by so many.

A graveside service will be held on March 18, 2022 at 2PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
