Douglas Huston Carver (Doug) died in his home on August 09, 2015 in Corpus Christi, TX. after a long battle with cancer. He was 52, born December 26, 1962 in Joplin MO. Doug moved to Corpus Christi, TX. In 1989 and has worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Bay Ltd. for the past 17 years. He loved spending time with his family, fishing in the bay and remodeling projects during his spare time. Doug is survived by his wife, Tammy Carver of Corpus Christi, TX; his daughters, Jennifer Newman of Joplin, MO. Shalene Carver and Jamie Carver; his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Nicole Carver; his son Cody Baker, all of Corpus Christi, TX; his grandson, John Newman of Joplin MO; his granddaughters Laken Carver and Riley Carver of Corpus Christi, TX , and one grandchild on the way; his mother Sue Carver, brothers and sister-in-laws, Scott and Polly Carver and Travis and Jennifer Carver of Corpus Christi, TX, and Sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Sylvester Martinez of Refugio, TX; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, August 14, 2015 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Abundant Life Fellowship, 9550 Leopard St., with pastor Rick Milby officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown.
