Larry Gene Bailey

Larry Gene Bailey, 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on July 1, 2022. He was born in Wink, Texas on August 17, 1935. He was raised in Goldsmith, Texas and graduated from Odessa High School. Once he graduated from high school, Larry proudly served in the United States Army.
He soon after married the love of his life, June Eaton, in 1979. Larry started his career and began working for Shell Oil Company where he dedicated many hours and retired after 33 years. Larry became a member of the Church of Christ and had a passion for the outdoors. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to garden, and canned nearly everything he grew.
He is preceded in death by his step-son, Danny Lange and step-grandson, Mathew.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, June Bailey; sons, David (Lynette) Bailey and Scot Bailey; step-children, Mark (Laurie) Lange, and Terri Lange; and grandkids, Travis (Michelle) Bailey, Shawn (Kristen) Bailey, Jennis (Drew) Shatuburg, and Brandon (Amber) Neagle; step-grandkids, Jeremy, CJ, and Randy; and 12 great-grandkids,
The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 2:00PM-4:00PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 12:30PM also at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2:00PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
