Larry Robinson

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Larry Robert Robinson Sr. He was born on March 26, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Wanda Joyce and Miller Robinson. On December 23, 2021 God called His amazing son home. Larry’s death has left his family, friends and all that had the blessing to know him in much shock and grief.

Larry poured his heart and soul into his work as , many have said, the “face” of Cowboy’s Dancehall. He met and befriended many great musicians through the years. And although Covid had forced an early retirement, he had found much peace living on a small ranch in South Texas. He met the love of his life Merri Wilson in 1997 at Cowboys and married on November 23, 2004. As many have witnessed, no man ever loved a woman more than Larry loved Merri.

Larry is predeceased in death by his mother, Wanda Joyce Robinson, his father Miller R Robinson, brothers Wayne & Wendell Robinson and son Dusty Ryan Wilson. He is survived by his forever loved wife, Merri. His brother Billy Robinson of Dallas, TX, son Larry “Bobby” Robinson Jr ( Angie) of Rockwall,Tx, daughter Millisa Lowrance of Crandall, Tx , nephew Sonny Robinson (Amanda), niece Amanda (Danny) Gressett, nieces Candance Robinson, Courtney Thompson (Mitchell) granddaughter Jacey Brynn Wilson and other nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Larry’s life and memories will be held on a date to be determined in the very near future.

Larry loved big and was hugely loved by so very many. Life is now forever changed and this dear man will be forever missed.
