Larry Cloyd Hower

Larry Cloyd Hower, 80, of Robstown, Texas, passed away on August 1, 2023.

Larry was born on June 2, 1943 to Newton and Kathleen Hower in McClure, Pennsylvania.

Larry served 10 years in the US Navy, from 1960 to 1970. In 1971, Larry met his wife, Linda, in Houston, Texas. They were later married in December 1972. Larry and Linda have been in the Corpus Christi area since 1976. Larry retired from Citgo refinery in 1998 and spent his retirement years doing the things he loved most: spending time with his family,  watching sports(especially those played by his grandchildren), playing cards and having family barbecues.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ronnie and Randy. He is survived by his wife; brother Bob; sister, Shirley; sister in law, Vicki; two sons, Larry (Delinda) and Chuck (Rita); three daughters, Lora (Frank), Tammy and Theresa (Justin). Larry has 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  

Visitation will be held at Sawyer-George on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 5:00-8:00PM. Graveside service will on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 1:00PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
