Kollyn Gene Barton our beloved son, grandson, brother, friend, and student, was called to the Lord on April 15, 2016. Kollyn had a zest for life, a love for people, and a love for his family. He never met a stranger and his magnetic personality won the hearts of everyone he met. He had friends all over the state as part of FFA, TJLA, 4-H, and band. Kollyn was a skilled musician, cattle showman, and fabricator. As a musician, he excelled at every instrument he ever tried. He particularly loved the drums and his time with the Banquete Bulldog Band. As a showman, Kollyn won numerous awards with his cattle. Kollyn and his family traveled all over the state showing cattle together. He particularly loved his low-line cattle which he started so his mom would have a project after he graduated. Kollyn learned to weld with his Dad. His work ethic and skill were evident in all of the projects he and his Dad worked on. Kollyn will be sorely missed as he touched so many lives across the state. He will be particularly missed by his family. His brother was his best friend and his nieces and nephews adored him.
