Kenneth Don Keeble

October 27, 1949 — February 12, 2025

Rockport

It is with deep sadness that the Keeble Family announces Kenneth Don Keeble, from Hallettsville, TX, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025 in Rockport, TX.

He was the beloved son of Jack Taylor Keeble and Ruby Inez Keeble, born October 27, 1949 and is now reunited with them in Eternity.

Kenny never met a stranger. He had a great sense of humor and loved to entertain with his larger-than-life stories of the good old days. He knew every George Strait song and would join in Karaoke to sing the hits. He had many cherished friends and loved the small town life in Hallettsville, home of the “wildly famous” Fiddlers Frolic BBQ Cookoff.

He adored and was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a Little League coach and enjoyed the days of coaching football games, baseball games and BMX bike racing. He was an avid Aggies football fan and passionately cheered on the Houston Texans.

He worked in the oilfield for many years, eventually owning and operating his own business, Keeco, in Houston, TX. Before retiring, he worked many years as a captain for Aries Marine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Taylor Keeble and Ruby Inez Keeble, and his sister and brother in law, Phil and Peggy Jean Phillips. He is survived by his children, DeeDee Sharon (Byron), Kevin Keeble, Jackie Keeble (Kari), Sara Keeble (Ty Dietz), Kaydee Keeble, Austin Keeble and Whitney Smith; his grandchildren, Byron Sharon, Jr. (Megan), Brennan Sharon (Lindsie), Kati Simmons (Zach), Brittany Keeble, Barrett Keeble, Camryn Keeble, Kenzie Keeble, Kelsie Keeble, Ellye Gordon, Josephine Dietz, Carson Keeble, Ruby Crawford, Charlotte Crawford and Treasure Keeble; his great-grandchildren, Kaystin, Leightin, Bryson, Braxton, Madison, Brayden, Emersyn, Harper, River, Waylon, Wyatt, and Paisley. Kenny is also survived by his sister, Ann Staton, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He attended Robstown High School in Robstown, TX and spent most of his days in the Corpus Christi and Houston areas. In his latter years, he lived in Hallettsville with his beloved family.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the loving and compassionate care of the dedicated staff at Harbor Hospice as well as Rockport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where Kenny was affectionately crowned “Prom King”.
