Kathy Flowers

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 25, 1961, Kathy Lorraine Flowers went to be with our Lord on November 29, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Ann Jones; her sisters, Judy Main and Lynn Schoggin; and her brother, Patrick Jones. She is survived by her beloved husband, John Flowers; brother, Mike Jones; her two children, Katrina and Mitchell Murphy; stepdaughter, Meischelle Flowers; grandchildren, Chellie Roe, Landon Olivo, Kaylie Dolan, Dalyn and John Knox, Morgan Kenley and Max Payne; great grandchildren, Presley Roe; brother-in-law, Robbie Schoggin, and several nieces and nephews.

Kathy dedicated her life to helping others and spent over twenty-three years teaching young minds. She taught middle school math for most of this time, and additionally worked with special needs students for over eight years. Kathy adored her students and her children. She was loved by all, and her smile would always light up any room. She was the kindest and wisest person anyone has ever known, and all were blessed to have her in their lives. Kathy had a love of fishing and travel. She spent many a weekend with her husband, sister and brother in-law making many fishing trips to Baffin Bay and the Land Cut. Kathy also had a love for trips to Las Vegas with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending her Sunday’s watching NFL Football games and PGA golf tournaments with her loving husband. She adored John dearly, and they were not only best friends but soulmates. Though Kathy spent some time dealing with discomfort and illness in her last few years, she always had a positive attitude and a big smile through it all. She believed in Jesus Christ and is now at peace, walking with him in Heaven. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
