Kathy loved to travel and spent six years overseas with her husband, a Navy physician. She spent three years in the Philippines and three in Italy. While overseas, they traveled to numerous countries in Asia, the South Pacific, Europe and Africa. After a missionary trip to the Philippines in 2001, she started a program to fund tuition for 27 indigent Philippino high school students, who would have been able to attend high school without a helping hand. Kathy assisted at the St Peter Food Pantry, arranged for St Peter parishioners to serve at the Mother Teresa Shelter, taught religion classes and served as an extraordinary (eucharistic) minister. She and her husband, a deacon, worked together on baptisms and convalidation of marriages in the Church. She and her husband lived in Indianapolis, where they were active in the St Vincent de Paul Society, and where both served together as co-presidents of the society. In addition to the above activities, Kathy enjoyed live theater, movies, music and reading. Preceded in death by her parents, and son Bob Rogerson. Survived by Ralph Allen Cicora, D.O., her husband of 37 yrs; Son Jim Rogerson, of Chicago, and daughter Nancy Rogerson, of Cleveland, Ohio, and sister, Carolyn Burrell of Champaign, IL. She leaves behind grandchildren: Ian, Danny, Maddie, Sean, Brett and Ryan, and four great-grandchildren. After graduating from Kankakee High School, she attended Purdue University, and later graduated from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her Master's Degree in Curriculum Planning in Early Childhood from Corpus Christi State University in 1981. Kathy worked as an early childhood teacher, a day care director, and taught classes at Del Mar Junior College and at Corpus Christi State University.
