Kathleen Beers

Kathleen Ann Huntsinger Beers, a beloved friend to many, was born February 26, 1965, in Alice, Texas. She passed away April 26, 2018 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas after losing her battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Kathleen grew up in Calallen attending Annaville Baptist Church and Calallen schools. She was a Calallen Wildcat class of 1983. She was a long time employee of Corpus Christi Army Depot. Kathleen was a faithful friend, generous to a fault, was strong willed, determined and had a kind heart. She loved animals, country music and 70s rock music. She especially adored her nephew and nieces. Kathleen was dearly loved by her family and will be missed by her husband, Howard Beers; her parents, John and Carol Huntsinger; her sister, Crystal (Jeff) Horne; her nephew, Chris (Brandi) Horne; her nieces, Holly (Vitaliy) Tsymbalyuk and Karen Horne; great nephews, Evan, Collin Bennett and Ian; also Howard’s children, Sarah Beers, Joey (Shelley) Beers, John (Gina) Beers, Jason (Christine) Beers, Chris (Ashley) Beers; and grandchildren: Zoe, Julien, Haley, Landen, Tommy and Mikey Beers. Services will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with visitation on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and funeral service on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas. Memorial gifts could be made to Lymphoma and Leukemia Society or a Pet Shelter.
