Juan Cantu

Juan Cantu, 71, went to Heaven on February 22, 2017. He was born on September 12, 1945 to the late Juan and Maria Cantu. He was a native of Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1966. He was a wonderful husband, a great father and a very proud grandpa and great-grandpa. He retired from Southwestern Bell in 2002 and enjoyed his retirement years surrounded by his loved ones, family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Patty Fulton Cantu of 39 years; his son, Jonathan (Crissy) Cantu; daughters, Tricia (Rey) Galvan, Candace and Stephanie Cantu, Jennifer (Rudy) Gonzalez; former wife, Dolores Cantu all from Corpus Christi; brothers, Roy (Irma) Cantu from Brownsville, Joe (Julia) Cantu, David Cantu all from Corpus Christi; sisters, Lydia (Nasario) Rodriguez, Gloria (Fred) Flores, Rosie (late Johnny Yanez) all from Dallas. Helen Cantu from Austin, Virginia (Rudy) Quintanillla, Irma (Ramiro) Montalvo, Estela (late Johnny) Rodriguez, Janie (Ray) Reyes all from Corpus Christi; ten grandchildren; 1 great grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A Rosary and memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church at a later date.
