Joyce Pilarczyk

Joyce Marie Pilarczyk, age 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, October 22, 2011. She was born July 26, 1933 in the Leona District of Nueces County, Texas to August Jasper Bartos and Kathryn Bartos. She was a graduate of Orange Grove High School, member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Orange Grove, Texas, Altar Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 8920 in Orange Grove, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Peter John Pilarczyk and her stepfather, Howard Jones. She is survived by a son, Paul (Connie) Pilarczyk of Robstown, Texas; brother, Bob (Rebecca) Bartos of Conway, Arkansas; granddaughter, Miranda Grace Pilarczyk, who she dearly loved. Visitation will be on Monday, October 24, 2011 from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Michael Howell and Rev. Msgr. Seamus McGowan as concelebrants. Interment will be in the St. John of the Cross Catholic Cemetery.
