Joyce Phillips

Joyce Phillips, age 83, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away March 10, 2010. She was born September 18, 1926 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Charles Adolph and Winnie Susan Schindler. She was employed with Dr. Jenkins and Dr. Tasch in Taft, Texas and worked for many years at Sure-Grow Fertilizer Company in Taft, Texas. She enjoyed the last years of her life with her friends at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostle’s Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son William Jackson “Bill” Phillips. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Littlejohn of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Charles Joseph Schindler of Portland, Texas; sister, Barbara Wendland of Corpus Christi, Texas; granddaughter, Cassie Littlejohn. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostle’s Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostle’s Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Morgan Rowsome as celebrant. Interment will be conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, March 12, 2010 in the Taft Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Larry Svadlenak, John Mayo, Holden Mayo, Steve McNeil, Colton McNeil and Jayson Peterson.
