Josephine Brand

Josephine Mary Brand, 79, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away April 7, 2013. She was born September 4, 1933 in Agua Dulce, Texas to John J. and Elsie Psencik Sablatura. Mrs. Brand was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and the church Altar Society in Woodsboro, Texas and the KJZT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton B. Brand; her daughter, Carolyn Sue Brand; her brothers, Edwin Joe and John L. Sablatura; and her grandson, Cameron Bowers. She is survived by her children, Richard (Patricia) Brand of Bishop, Texas, Brenda Frankenhauser of Houston, Texas, Donald Brand of Bishop, Texas, Randal (Becky) Brand of Woodsboro, Texas, Janine Brand of Corpus Christi, Texas, Dolores (David) Bagley of Rockport, Texas, Kenneth Brand of Victoria, Texas, Jo Lynn (Johnny) Ulcak of Victoria, Texas, and Marsha Hall of Portland, Texas; her sister, Wilma (Keith) Emshoff of Corpus Christi, Texas; her grandchildren, Chris Brand, Jessica Mendez, Jennifer Brand, Aimee Brown, Kevin Rodriquez, Kaid Brand, Justin Meyer, Jordan Ulcak, Logan Hall, Jadyn Hall, Conrad Bowers and Jeremiah Bagley; 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3 P.M. until 5 P.M. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church on Violet Road in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Friday, April 12, 2013 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Morgan Rowsome as celebrant. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Alice, Texas. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons. The family would like to thank Cimarron Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the Altus Hospice for their love and special care of Josephine.
