Jose Perez Quitugua, Ii

JOSE PEREZ QUITUGUA, II, 65, formerly of Sinajana, Guam, currently of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away May 21, 2022. He was born in Tamuning, Guam to Eddie and Juanita Quitugua.

Jose attended George Washington High School and pursued a career and retired with the Army for 20 years.

He was an active member of St. Mary’s Church; he was council and 4th degree Grand Knight of 7290 at St. Peter church; he served as the Financial Officer for St. Peter’s Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Juanita; his grandparents, Jose P. Quitugua and Josefina and Vicente B. Perez and Maria; his siblings, Eddie, Raymond, and Bernice; his mother-in-law, Lydia Reyes and his brother-in-law, Juan and sister in law, Christina.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lydia Reyes Quitugua, son and wife, Christopher Joseph and Deanna, son and fiancé, John Paul and Ashley; daughter, Sonia Quitugua; grandsons, Xavier Joseph, Alexander Dominic, and CJ; granddaughters, Saylor Rose and Emrie Rose; sisters from Guam, Marissa (Patrick), Genedine; sisters in law, Maria Ramon, Dalia Alvarado; brother-in-law, Jose Reyes

He will be missed by his pets, Panda and Yogi; Msgr. McGowan; Brother Knights of 7290 Knights of Columbus St. Peter; former employers: Highman Tower; T-Mobile (17 years); Verizon and many family and friends.

Rucker, Al); Michael Quitugua (San Antonio, Tx); John-Eddie Moser (El Paso, Tx); Rico Romero (Orlando, Fl); Tomas Alvarado (Robstown, Tx); Chris Quitugua (Corpus Christi, Tx); JP Quitugua (Corpus Christi, Tx); Xavier Quitugua (Corpus Christi, Tx); Alex Quitugua (Corpus Christi, Tx).

A visitation will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 5:00PM – 8:00PM. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 11:30AM with the Interment to follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00PM where Full Military Honors will be presented.
