Jose Soto, Jr.

Jose A. Soto Jr., age 76 of Edroy, Texas peacefully entered into eternal life with our Heavenly Lord and Savior on December 5, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Jose was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was devoted and dedicated to the Lord and his family. Jose is survived by his adoring and devoted wife of 57 years, Teresa C. Soto; his five children, Grace Casares (Mario), Mario Soto (Angie), Severa Garcia (Flumencio), Lucia White (Cesar), Jose Soto III (Joann); 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, Esperanza, Concha, Richard, Ninfa, Marcelo, Mimilo, and Jesse. Jose was an active member of The Church of God of Prophecy and loved all of his church family. We would especially like to thank Pastor David and Sandra Barillas for their endearing love and support during this difficult time. He enjoyed traveling, estate sales, tinkering and fixing anything for us in his workshop, and his Dallas Cowboys. Most of all he adored time spent with his ever growing family. He will be dearly missed by all. Visitation will be on Friday, December 11, 2015 starting at 3:00 P.M. followed by Prayer Services at 7:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 10:00 A.M., in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Barillas officiating. Interment will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the Edroy Cemetery in Edroy, Texas
