Johnny Louis Knesek, 91, peacefully passed away at Christus Spohn Shoreline on February 3, 2021. Johnny was born on November 15, 1929 to Joe and Annie Wendland Knesek.
He grew up farming and loved wood carpentry. He loved playing the accordion and playing at dances with The Bay City Dutchman for many years. He was married to the love of his life, Peggy Rektorik Knesek, for 71 years and is with her now.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; his parents; his brother, James; and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his sisters, Georgia Kelly and Gertrude Rackley; his children, Jerry Knesek, Marilyn Landmon, Mike (Sylvia) Knesek, Alan (Marlene) Knesek, Cathy (Kent) Myers and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021, from 5:00PM to 6:00PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February, 9 2021 at 11:00AM at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, Texas.
