John Clayton Pierce, President of Range Light Maritime Consulting, LCC and resident of Corpus Christi, Texas died unexpectedly on August 29, 2021 at the age of 50.
John is survived by his wife; Karen, children; Kyle and Kyra Pierce, step children; Brandon and Michael Anderson; his mother, Barbara Morgan; father and step mother; Joseph and Paula Pierce and half-sisters, Rachel Hyatt and Ranee Morgan.
John was born September 7, 1970 in Palestine, TX and graduated Valedictorian from Palestine High School in 1989. He graduated in 1993 from The United States Coast Guard Academy. John served in the US Coast Guard for 13 years. John loved his career and loved being an expert maritime witness, allowing him to travel and see the world while working. Personally, John was blessed with two children, two stepsons, and many other loving family members who are the pride and joy of his life.
John was a devoted father, wonderful husband, serious golfer, and avid fisher. He loved to split his time between Colorado and South Texas, chasing the trophy fish. When John was not fishing, he could be found on the golf course. He enjoyed spending time with his family building cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, coast guardsmen, and all who knew him.
