John Hoeber, Jr.

John A. Hoeber, Jr., age 83, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away March 27, 2011. He was born February 18, 1928 in Alice, Texas to John A. Hoeber, Sr. and Josephine Walker Hoeber. Mr. Hoeber was a longtime member of the South Bluff United Methodist Church, member of the United Steelworkers Union, member of the NRA and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Hoeber and his wife Pat Hoeber. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah (William) Bowles, Jonna Botello (Chuck) Funk; son, Larry (Paulette) Hoeber; six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a special niece Rosalind (Jim) Worthman. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Cherie Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
