Joe Edward Lake

Joe, 79, left us on May 14, 2022 with his family by his side in Robstown, TX. Joe was born on November 12, 1942 in Marfa, TX to Edward Lee and Cordelia Elsie Lake. Edward was a Pastor and Cordelia worked as an LVN. They moved to Santa Paula, California when he was in grade school where he met his wife, Anna, at the age of 9 years old. Joe and Anna wed on July 15, 1961. Joe spent most of his young adulthood working as a welder and later as a Pastor. He had 3 children with his wife, Anna, in California; Mike, Judy, and Dale. Once their children were grown, the family moved to Corpus Christi, TX where they settled down. Joe and his father, Edward, chartered Apostolic Tabernacle in Robstown in 1991 where they pastored and administered to the flock that Christ gave them. Joe had many interests in life, including, but not limited to golf, airplanes, and the everchanging technology. He devoted much of his time and energy to his family and church family.

Joe is survived by his wife, Anna; son, Mike (Wanda); daughter, Judy Hooper (Cory); 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
