Jimmy Post

Jimmy Talton Post, 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2013. He was born November 13, 1926 in Farmerville, Louisiana to Allen and Minnie Johnson Post. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack and Perry Allen Post; one sister, Farris Post White. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Mae Doss Post; one sister, Pansy Vaughn (Clayton) Bloodworth; three daughters, Patricia Ann (Scotty) Russell, Betty Vaughn Steichen and Ellen Christine Torres; grandchildren, Patricia Dawn (Paul) Lacy, Talton Scott (Mika) Russell, Sharla Nicole (Richard) Esquivel, Justin Lanny Brooks, Lindsay Caroline Steichen and Luisa Irene Torres and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 6 P.M. with the family present from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 A.M. Monday, January 14, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Willoughby officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the Alzheimers Association, 7400 Louis Pasteur, Ste. 200, San Antonio, Texas 78229-4542.
