Jimmy Green, Jr.

Jimmy E. Green, Jr. died peacefully at home on Thursday August 25th in Houston, Texas at the age of 64 after a year and a half fight with kidney cancer. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 32 years Brenda Adcock Green, his daughter, Kendra A. Brist of Memphis, TN, his Son Carl D. Seals Jr. of Memphis, TN, his granddaughter Emma Juliann Gurren, his two grandsons, Connor Patrick Gurren and Christopher Rain Seals-Smith also of Memphis, TN, his sister, Karen Dishman of Corpus Christi, TX his niece, Mellissa Lister of Houston, TX, his nephew, Richard Hamilton of San Antonio, TX. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Jimmie E. Green S., his mother, Daisy Ruth Green and his twin brothers J.E. and J.D. Green. Jimmy was born on December 5 1951 in Corpus Christi, TX. He graduated from Mary Carroll high school in 1970 and from Del Mar college with an associate degree in criminal justice. Jimmy joined the Army in 1973 and served three years. After working for NASA during the Apollo missions he began his law enforcement career in Port Aransas then went on to become a Sergeant for the Corpus Christi Police Department after moving on to U.S. Customs and Border Protection where he held positions from Inspector, Supervisor, Instructor and Port Director he retired out of Houston, TX after 32 years of service. Jimmy was an excellent example of what a Husband, Son, Father, Brother and friend should be. The family will be receiving guest on Tuesday August 30th, 2016 between 5:00 and 7:00 pm at Sawyer George Funeral Home. The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, August 31,2016 at 11 am at Sawyer- George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St. in Corpus Christi, TX. Pat Lumry will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend. Graveside services will follow at George West cemetery at 1pm.
