Jimmy Adair

Jimmy Adair Sinton, Texas Jimmy Adair, 82, of Sinton, Texas went to be with the Lord and his Savior Jesus Christ on January 27, 2013 in Houston, Texas after a long illness. He was born August 26, 1930 in Hunt County, Texas. He started laying pipeline in 1957 and founded Tennessee Pipeline Construction Company in 1964. He worked hard and played hard, enjoyed life to the fullest, was a great problem solver, and never asked an employee to do anything that he wouldn't do himself. What he lacked in formal education he made up for in common sense. He loved people and helping the underdog when they needed it the most. He and his wife supported the San Patricio County Junior Livestock Show and loved the children dearly and also supported Haven of Hope in San Antonio. He enjoyed golf, boating, jet skiing, snow skiing and flying, but most of all he loved the Lord Jesus Christ and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Jewel Adair; a son, Brent Adair; brothers, Oscar Lee Adair, Jr. and George Adair; his sister, Wilma Dean; a grandson, Justin Andrew Adair; and the mother of his children, Lou Ann Miller Adair. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Dottie Adair of Sinton, Texas; his sons, Brad (Judy) Adair, Matt (Betty Sue) Adair and Preston (Vicki) Adair all of Corpus Christi, Texas and Scott (Jessica) Magee of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Justin Adair, Jimmy Austin Adair, Jerry Adair, James Adair, Travis Adair, Bobbie Ann White and Evalyn Bea Magee; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at River Hills Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Seaside Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Tennessee Pipeline Construction Company.
