Jewel Vinson

Jewel Vinson, 93, a long time resident of Robstown went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2010. She was born October 18, 1916 in Chelsey, Oklahoma to Walter “Blackie” and Ivy Cooper. Jewel had been living in Austin, Texas with her daughter for the past 6 years. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, as well as her husband, Cavit Vinson, her daughter, Jonna King, her son-in-law, Jim Tuttle and her grandson, Jeffrey King. She is survived by her daughter, Javan Tuttle and son-in-law, Bob King, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Robstown Memorial Park officiated by David Steen, husband of one of Jewel’s granddaughters. Memorial Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at New Hope FBC in Cedar Park, Texas officiated by J.W. Carlile, Jewel’s nephew.
