Jessie enjoyed many hobbies and lived a big life. Some of the things he enjoyed were golfing, piloting an airplane, hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin in the hill country. Jessie also loved his authentic chuck wagon: participating in cook-offs and sharing Dutch oven cooking and cowboy history with students at the school where his wife Nancy was the principal. Calallen football was an important part of his life. He was a booster club member and held the "Cat" sign at home games. It brings us peace to know he is with his Lord because of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
