Jerry Dean Sanders

Jerry Dean Sanders went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 18th, 2021. Jerry was born in Corpus Christi to Willard Lee and Velma Louise Sanders on November 17th, 1942. He married his high school sweetheart, Hazel Gardner on July 6th 1963. They were married 58 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother (Wayne Lee), sister (Wanda Louise) and son Jerry Jr. (Cassey).

He is survived by his wife, Hazel, son Shane (Michelle) Sanders, daughter Fawnda (Bob) Seward, 6 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, 4 great-grandchildren.

At the age of twelve Jerry and his family left Corpus Christi and settled in Batesville, Arkansas. There the family had a thriving dairy farm and he met his life long partner Hazel. Jerry served from 1965-1967 in the United States Army where he was deployed to Korea. Upon returning home he joined the Corpus Christi Fire Department in 1968 serving the public for 28 years.

The Celebration of Life will be on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 9:30AM at Annaville Baptist Church with interment to follow at 11:00AM at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
