Jeffery Quillin of Sandia, Texas passed away January 3, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Jeff worked for AEP Texas for 25 years ending his career there with the Transmission Department. He then went to work for T&D Solutions (Volt Power) as a Manager of West Transmission Operations where he retired in April of 2019. Jeff and his wife of 21 years, Shelley Quillin, lived on Lake Corpus Christi and enjoyed spending their time fishing, boating, and being with their family and friends. As an avid hunter and fisherman, Jeff enjoyed teaching and sharing his knowledge with his children and grandchildren and was always the most proud when one of them reeled in the biggest catfish or got the biggest buck! He loved being in the outdoors whether it was on the water or in the woods. He is preceded in death by his father, Andrew Quillin, and his brother-in-law, Dickie Yaklin. He is survived by his wife, Shelley; his mother, Mary Quillin; his sisters, Deborah Pearson (Terry), Catherine Yaklin, Darla Gonzalez; and his brother, Timothy Quillin (Ellie); his children, Beau Sanford (Trish), Jeffery Quillin (Erin), Raeann Moehle (Weldon), Andrew Quillin, and Kendell Ward (Julie); his grandchildren, Lilly Sanford, Darrell Sanford, Taylor Quillin, Cooper Quillin, Harper Moehle, and Riley Moehle. A friend said it best, "On every tombstone there is 2 dates; what matters is the dash between those dates. Jeff's dash was full of so many good things throughout his life. He will be missed dearly." There will be a memorial service on Wednesday January 8, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Sawyer George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
