Janice Cox

Janice Ruth Atkins Cox of Spring, TX passed away on December 14, 2010 with her family by her side. She was born on January 21, 1928 in Ingleside, TX and was a long time resident of Corpus Christi. Her parents were Augustus Floyd and Lottie Pollard Atkins. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Minor Bartley Cox, infant son, Minor Douglas Cox and her parents. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Lois Atkins Loftin and brother, Augustus Atkins, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Marie Waters (Merle) and her brother, Marvin Atkins; children, Ronnie Cox (Alma), Kathleen Moore (Ron) and Wesley Cox (Diane); grandchildren, Neal Cox (Dana), Justin Wood (Dacie), Gail Brettmann Moore (Michael), Ryan Cox and great grandchildren Jace, Cami, Tyler and Courtney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children. Jan retired from Southwestern Bell after 37 years. She was a lifetime member of AT&T Pioneers. She enjoyed cooking for her family, traveling, reading, watching TV, sports, but most of all she loved her family. There will be a graveside service held on Monday 12/20/2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Robstown Cemetery officiated by Rev. Merle S. Waters. Honorary pallbearers are Neal, Justin and Ryan.
