Janet Cook

Janet Lynn Cook was born on May 31, 1952, to G. L. Pugh Jr. and Billie Sykes Pugh in Kingsville, Texas. She passed away at her residence on March 20, 2021.

Janet was a bookkeeper for Robstown Hardware for 35 years.  She loved to travel, antique shopping, making flower arrangements and taking care of her fur babies.

Janet was preceded by her father; Gordon Lindsay “G.L.” Pugh Jr. , mother; Billie Sykes Pugh, brother; Gordon Lindsay Pugh, III, brother-in-law; Wayne Wright.  She is survived by her daughter; Lacy Lynn Cook, sister; Karen Jo Wright, Lacy’s dad; Larry Cook, aunt; Nelda Gammel, brothers and sisters-in-law; Ann and Leonard Mahaffey, Keith and Kim Cook, Sharon and Mike Puckett, Doris Stinnett, and Linda Cook, nephews; Cullen (Sarita)  Wright, Brandon Wright; great nephews; Chase Palvas, Tyler Palvas and Mason Blanchet, great nieces; Baileigh Wright, Brantlee Wright and Kyndall Wright, cousins; Claudia (John) Sifferd, Charlene Sandroussi, Russell (Shawnee) Gammel and Lindsay (Anissa) Gammel, also many other family members and great friends.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 25, 2021 in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.
