Jane Smith

Jane Carpenter Smith was born December 25, 1932 in El Dorado, AR to Henry B and Agnes M Carpenter. She passed away on September 8, 2023. She was 90 years of age.

Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Billie Ray Smith; and parents, and Henry B and Agnes M Carpenter.

She is survived by sons, Bruce and his wife Karen and their sons Brandon and Tyler. Also by son Barry and his wife Mickie and their children, Blake, Lindsay, Shelby; and various great-grandchildren.

Jane lived a long fulfilling life of 90 years. She has been married to the love of her life Billie Ray up until his passing last year for 72 years and had two accomplished sons, Barry and Bruce, of which she adored. She volunteered in all their school activities from Band to Sports. She would reminisce about her rodeo days and summer times growing up with her cousins in Louisiana. She worked for a local physician and drove a school bus for many years. She loved RVing and playing dominoes with all of her friends from Sunny Dr. She will dearly be missed.

A brief visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10-10:30am at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 11am at Robstown Memorial Park.
