Jane Friedlander Peeler Noe, 84, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012. She was born October 13, 1927 in San Antonio, Texas to Cecil E. and Mary Bernice Burkett Friedlander. She spent most of her years in the states of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. She graduated from Ball High School in Galveston, Texas where she was elected senior queen. She then attended Monticello College in Godfrey, Illinois and went on to the University of Arkansas, graduating in the upper quarter of her class in 1948. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and served as house manager. She married Travis A. Peeler in 1948 and they had two children, Sally Jayn Peeler Dick and Paul Wylie Peeler. Jane did volunteer work in Corpus Christi and Driscoll Children's Hospital and was a docent at Corpus Christi Science Museum. She recorded for the blind children at Menger School while a member of the Jr. League and served as treasurer and vice president of Lawyer's Wives Club. She became active in St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, was a substitute teacher for seven years and taught full time sixteen years. She is the widow of the late Walter P. Noe. Jane is survived by her daughter, Sally Jayn Peeler Dick and her husband Larry Dick of Orange, California; her son, Paul Wylie Peeler, CPA and his wife Bonnie Peeler of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren, Travis Lee (Tera) Peeler, Christopher Lewis (Deborah) Peeler, Lara Ann (Lloyd) Willis, Jane Elizabeth (Robert) Erzen and Michael David (Elizabeth) Dick; four great grandsons. The loves of her life were her children, grandchildren and great grandsons. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 622 Airline Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas.
