Jane Moore

Jane Ann Moore, 75, passed away peacefully at home on July 8, 2015. She was born on March 29, 1940 to Jake and Mary Simkins in Harlingen, Texas. Ann loved her family and friends, especially Yvonne Johnson. Another love of Ann’s was her monthly Bunco nights. Her great love in life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ann was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Robstown, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Rowland. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Oren; her loving daughter, Jeanette (Mike) McCabe; three grandchildren, LaRae (Matthew) Carvajal, Dallas Guzman, and Shannon Gunckel; eight great grandchildren, Devan, Lauren, Kailyn, CJ, Alayna, Karina, Kami and Jaxon; and her sisters, Nan Tandy and Sue (JC) Smith. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 A.M. Monday, July 13, 2015 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 11 A.M. Monday at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery. The family wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. John E. Schulze, Jack Sawyer, and Angel Bright Hospice for the care given to Ann in her time of need.
