James Harry “Jim” Elliff, 74, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 and was a 5th generation of Banquete, Texas. He was born August 28, 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas, the oldest of three boys born to Harry H. Elliff and Jo Marie Strange Elliff. Jim graduated from Robstown High School in 1964 and attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville. He was drafted into the U. S. Army, but before they inducted him, he joined the U. S. Marine Corp on June 1, 1966. He served two years in the Marine Corp, one of which he spent in Viet Nam. Jim worked 34 years in the oil field, wherever he was needed in the states or world, whenever he was needed.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mike Elliff.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Glenna Scogin Elliff of Corpus Christi; his two daughters, Nikki Parkinson (Robert) of Navasota, Texas and Christine Beers (Jason) of Corpus Christi; three grandchildren, Thomas and Michael Beers and Lela Parkinson; his brother, Gerry Elliff (Karen) of George West, Texas.
Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Monday, April 5, 2021 at Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery with Larry Cash officiating.
