Jacquelyne Joan Wittner, age of 75 of Sandia, Texas passed away to be with our Lord and Savior March 29, 2020. She was born May 3, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas to Wesley Elmo and Margie Fay Knox (Wiggins).
Jackie was the third of five children and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married the love of her life, Adolph Wittner, Jr. on April 2, 1959 and together had three children. Jackie was very involved with her community and was a volunteer for halo flight, Driscoll Children’s Foundation, Junior League of Corpus Christi, Oil Belt Little League Baseball, Shriners, fundraisers, and made baskets for auctions and benefits. She also loved horses and was an active STTR member.
In 1983, she was awarded Sweetheart Rider for the year. She also loved playing pool, loved her pool players and was actively running a pool tournament every Wednesday night at the Riverbend 534 Club in Sandia, Texas. She never met a stranger and was kind and lovable, always finding good in everyone. Her passion for life made everything she touched, sparkle. She lit up every room she entered. Jackie was beautiful and amazing. She was a fine artist and created beautiful oil paintings and ceramics. She loved the ranch, outdoors, camping, fishing, barbecues and being around her family and friends. She was the life of the party.
Jacquelyne was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband, “Pudgie” who passed away on 10/26/2009; brother, Wesley E. Knox, Jr.; sister, Joyce Nichols (Nick).
She is survived by her sons, Wesley (Leslie) Wittner of Robstown, Texas, Jerry (Dawn) Wittner of George West, Texas; daughter, Shelly (Pat) Janeway Of Sandia, Texas; sisters, Sylvia (Terry) Vaughn of Portland, Oregon, Teresa (Ronnie) Peaek of New Braunfels, Texas; gentleman friend, Gary Duncan; grandchildren: Brandon, (Kami), Justin, Rachelle (Treis), Rhylee, Brenna, Brooke, Haze, Anthony (Dominique), Cody, Wyatt, Katie, Johnathon and her great grandchildren: Gwenith, Kamdyn, Pyrce, Leighton, Keeley, Max, Charlie, Elly, Kota, Waylon, Aubrey, Kenslie, and Hallie.
We will miss her deeply and forever and will always hold her in our hearts. We will cherish the memories we made with her and will always remember the good times and celebrate her life.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 2:00PM at Sawyer George Funeral Chapel with Deacon Bill Cleavelin officiating.
