Jack Dubose, Jr.

Jack W. DuBose, Jr. age 82, of Rockport, Texas passed away May 21, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born September 4, 1929 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Jack W. DuBose, Sr. and Winnie Herrington DuBose. Jack Sr. passed away and Jack along with his first wife Mildred continued the operation of the DuBose Drug Store in Aransas Pass for many years. After Mildred passed away in 2000, Jack met and fell in love with Lee Jamison and they were happily married for the last eleven years. During this time Jack was a volunteer at the Prescription Drug Assistance Program at the First United Methodist Church in Rockport. Jack was a gentle, kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Jack is survived by his wife, Lee DuBose; children, Ken and Linda DuBose, Pam Jamison, Kevin and Susan Jamison; grandchildren, Jacqueline Pena, Katy Jamison, Victoria Jamison; great grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Chance, Brittney and brother, Macy DuBose. Memorial services will be conducted May 31, 2012 at 10:30 am at the First United Methodist Church in Rockport located at 801 E. Main Street, Rockport, Texas. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to honor Jack's service in the Prescription Drug Assistance Program at the First United Methodist Church, 801 E. Main St., Rockport, TX 78382.
